After each use, wipe the metal part gently with a tissue or towel and that's it! If you find that it is especially dirty, we advise using a small bit of water on the towel and avoid touching the wooden part. For a periodic deep clean you can make a paste with tea tree oil and Fuller's Earth Clay

The Kansa Wand is a traditional Ayurvedic tool used for facial and body massage. It has  numerous benefits, including improving skin tone, reducing puffiness, and promoting relaxation. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to use a Kansa Wand effectively:

Imagine a face divided into sections:

- Start with the forehead: Draw circular arrows moving outward from the center of the forehead towards the temples.
- For the under-eye area: Draw small arrows moving outward and upward from the inner corner of the eye towards the temples.
- Cheeks and Jawline: Draw upward arrows from the center of the face towards the hairline along the cheeks and jawline.
- Neck Massage: Draw upward arrows from the base of the neck towards the chin.

This diagram represents the general movements you  should make with the Kansa Wand during a facial massage. Remember to perform each movement gently and slowly, with light pressure.

Step by Step instructions

1. Prepare Your Skin: Start with clean skin. Remove any makeup or dirt with a gentle cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

2. Apply Oil: Apply a small amount of massage oil or facial serum to your skin. This will help the Kansa Wand glide smoothly and prevent any friction.

3. Warm Up the Wand: Rub the Kansa Wand between your hands for a few moments to warm it up. This will enhance the massage experience and help the oils penetrate your skin better.

4. Begin the Massage:
   - Facial Massage for energy and eyebrow lift: Start at the center of your forehead and move the wand in gentle, circular motions outward towards your temples. Repeat this motion several times, covering the entire forehead area.
   - Under-Eye Area to drain and depuff : Look up with your gaze only and gently massage the under-eye area in outward strokes. Be very gentle in this sensitive area. To depuff the undereye area, also massage next to your nose, from the side of your nostrils, all the way up towards your tearduct. 

   - Cheeks and Jawline: Move the wand in upward strokes from the center of your face towards your hairline along the cheeks and jawline. This helps lift and firm the skin.

   - Neck Massage: Use downward trokes on your neck, starting from the from under your ears, down to your collarbone. AVOID massaging over the thyroid in the centre of the throught!

extra: Body Massage: If you're using the Kansa Wand for body massage, apply oil to the desired area and use circular or sweeping motions to massage the skin gently. Focus on areas of tension or soreness.

6. Clean the Wand: After each use, clean the Kansa Wand with a soft cloth or tissue to remove any oil or residue. You can also use a mild soap and water if needed. Dry it thoroughly before storing. Read care instructions. 

7. Store Properly: Store your Kansa Wand in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its quality. Leave it in its pouch to avoid scratches. 

8. Frequency: You can use the Kansa Wand daily or a few times a week, depending on your preference and skin sensitivity. Start with shorter sessions and gradually increase the duration as your skin gets accustomed to the massage.
